We, at The Conduits, realize that there are seemingly shifting and ever-changing phrases and definitions used in the Spiritual Community (perhaps this is true in most parts of our lives). The Spiritual Community uses both a metaphorical and allegorical delivery… and a more plain and straightforward style. Both forms are wonderful - depending upon the situation.
One of our company values and a core mission is to make things digestible and understandable. The message must resonate. If we aren’t “dialed in” to the right frequency it might lead to misunderstandings, frustration, and fractured expectations.
We have all been casualties of those who use double-speak, innuendo and purposefully confusing jargon. We are truly hoping to avoid that within our Conduits Community. We want our group to recognize and absorb the words and phrases used within the community.
Almost anybody can take a topic and make it sound complicated. Perhaps they seek to gain credibility by being ostentatious. But, often times, that is not an authentic or meaningful exchange.
The genius of great communication lies in converting that nuanced, sophisticated topic into a readily understood experience. Great communication happens when the communicator and audience are attuned to the same frequency! This is especially true when we might come from different cultures, different life experiences, and even different mother-tongues.
We believe that a true, well-intentioned Conduit wants to convey their message with empathy - in a smooth and caring manner.
To that end, we are going to begin the process of building a lexicon of words, terms and phrases for which everyone in our Conduit Community has access.
We also sincerely hope that you will be a part of adding to the lexicon. If there is any terminology that we use for which you are uncertain … don’t be shy, let us know and we can put it in our lexicon.
